In 2022 Hochbaum created a series of works on 23" x 30" printing paper utilizing and new set of window silkscreens he had made. These new works were filled with bright, vibrant colors which he had only recently embraced in his work. The result were a handful of towers and city scenes, some of which he completed in 2022, some were finished in 2025 after being kept in storage for 3 years. 
 
For the artist, the vibrancy reflects the energy of the city that is created by the inhabitants and history. 
 
Summer Evening tower is a tribute to the memories of living in NYC during the "dog days" of summer filled with excitement and the inspiration David would feel from life in downtown Manhattan.
 
The piece is made with silkscreen water based inks, acrylic paints, and pencil.
