Matka is the Polish word for mother. David frequently creates homage works for his.

This image for "Matka" was shot in Berlin in 2019 during a short recidency at the Luisa Catucci gallery. Hochbaum occupied a small studio housed in the gallery for 2 weeks leading up to an exhibit. The photoshoot occured inside the gallery's main room the morning after the opening of his "Hypnogogic Atlas" exhibit.

This version is a high resolution scan of the original mixed media piece Hochbaum created in 2020, one year after it was shot.

"Matka" is presented here as a 8" x 8" archival pigment print on Epson Leagcay fine art matte paper.

The artist's signature and date is on the bottom left of the image.

The print is floated in a 10" x 10" x 1.75" shadowbox frame with glass.

The back is fastened with a saw-tooth hanger with all 4 back corners equipped with felt buttons for protecting your walls.

The piece is shipped framed and ready to hang.

Shipping is included in the price.

Unfortunately the studio is not currently shipping outside of the USA. We are hoping that this is only a temporary situation. All parties outside of the USA who are interested in purchasing work by David Hochbaum please contact Luisa Catucci Gallery.
